Breathwork and IFS

Join us and see what can happen from combining the power of Breathwork with the safety of IFS. The integration of these two modalities is facilitating experiences that have not been available using either one alone. In addition, this workshop will be informative for those interested in the intersection of IFS and psychedelics.

Schedule:

12:30pm -- Introductory lecture on IFS (45 minutes)
You are invited to attend this complimentary talk without signing up for the whole workshop - just choose that option when registering.  If you are familiar with IFS, you can skip this talk and arrive at 1:30.

1:30pm -- Main workshop begins

  • Introductory breathing and parts discovery

  • Breathwork overview

  • An IFS view of Breathwork

  • Two breathing sessions of 50-60 minutes

  • Finding out what happened

6:00pm -- Workshop ends

Resources for this workshop

Ted Riskin, LCSW is a psychotherapist specializing in relationship issues and cognitive therapy. Along with certifications in Core Energetics, hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Breath Therapy, and EMDR, he is certified in Holotropic Breathwork by Stanislav Grof. He served for five years as President of the Association for Holotropic Breathwork International (AHBI) and eight years as the music editor for The Inner Door. Ted was a faculty member of The Institute of Core Energetics for 14 years. He has practiced meditation for the past 46 years and has been active in the human development movement for the past 40. He has been facilitating Holotropic workshops regularly since January 1997.

 
 
 

Amy Borskey Duffer is a Board-Certified Dance/movement Therapist, Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, and a Psychedelic Integration and Transformational Recovery Coach, certified by Being True to You. She has been exploring the use of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness for healing and expansion since 2019. While all aspects of the psychedelic journey are important, she has particular interest in the integration phase — exploring how to take what is learned during an experience into our lives to achieve growth and wholeness. Amy has extensive experience in holding loving space for seekers of peace and healing with a background in both group and individual therapy work. You can find out more about her and her work here.
